We arrived home safely on February 24th accompanied by Lew, Chuck, Charles, Ashley, Pete and Charlie. There was an ice bridge at Bull Ck that was easily broken through and we all gave a big cheer as we neared home! We found Rex and Chad waiting for us at the ranch with stoves on and the lodge warm and comfy. The next few days were full of cabin opening and snow shoveling. Rex had to deal with more snow than the ranch had gotten for several years and there were piles 6′ high where he moved snow out of the way. All was well at the ranch with all the animals thriving under his care.

The fishing was normal for spring, good between periods of snowmelt. The melting snows and ice have caused intermittent muddiness but there were lots of good days. The Wisdom/Himmelreich/Drake/Albers group gave it a 2nd try and managed to land several dozen fish over a 2 day period. They spend alot of time with their lines in the water!

Our last group just left and the river is a little cloudy from the Lemhi river runoff. The crocus are blooming, the greenhouse is started and we should see our 1st daffodil anyday.
